Clean Computing

Novi Optical Products Co. have produced a bevy of products specifically designed to clean the various bits and pieces of your computer: screen, disc and CD-ROM drives. The CD-ROM and 3-1/2" disc drive cleaning kits contain a special disc or drive cleaning device, wipes and 1 oz spray bottles of cleaner. The "Complete" kit is simply a box with a disc kit (no on-screen instructions), a CD-ROM kit and a desktop screen kit (with 2 oz of cleaner, no wipes) in it. In addition we have a simple 2 oz pump spray bottle of screen cleaner with no wipes from the same company. The stuff is non-conductive and won't harm your machine. Snow, Sap, Bird Poo
Fling that snow from your windshield instead of scraping it. This 34" x 7 ft sheet of black plastic can be cut to fit and protect the largest windshield. Attach the four adhesive-backed 2" x 3/4" magnets at strategic points, and it's always ready to snug into place. If you live in a windy area, just leave enough length to tuck the plastic into the front doors as you close them. When you wisk it off, any snow or dirt goes right along with it!

Whet Stones
Keep small knives and tools sharp. The sharpening stones in our 2–pc set include (1) large 6” x 13/16” x 3/8” and (1) slim 4” x 3/8” x 1/10”, both labeled 320 grit. The stones in our 3–pc set are all 4” long x 1/4” square. We know they have (3) different surfaces, but we haven’t a clue to their true grit.

Water, Water Everywhere
The Noah's Flood Alarm alerts you instantly to a leaking hot-water heater or an overflowing tub. Place the small, flat plastic sensor where water shouldn't be. A 10-ft white wire leads to a 3-3/8" x 1-3/4" x 3/4" plastic housing with an LED alarm and (2) "AA" batteries (yours, not ours). When the sensor gets wet, the LED will flash and a buzzer (think alarm clock) will sound and save the day.

A Working Wonder
If we had a category just for customers who lust after Jules Verne inventions and elegant gadgetry, this would be in it. The wonderful brass sundial, a reproduction of an antique, is approx 3" dia x 11/16" thick overall, and actually works! A latitudinal gauge lets you tilt the engraved dial to the correct angle for your location, and a bubble and three leveling feet allow the 1-1/2" dia lock-down compass to point in the precise direction. And if you never took it out into the sunshine, you'd still love it for the look and logic of it.

We don't know which we like better -- This really nice 2-3/4" long, 10-blade folding knife, or the terrific little window-topped tin it comes in! The trim stainless-steel folding knife, we suppose, with its 1-5/8" knife blade, flat-head and Phillips-head screwdrivers, saw, punch, stitch puller, nail file, scissors, corkscrew, bottle opener, 3/8" slip ring and, powered by (3) button cells already in it, a 7/8" long light with a white LED! But that 3-1/2" X 2-1/2" X 1" bare-steel tin with the see-through hinged lid is running a very, very close second…. Great gift item.
