Always want to frame someone? At this price, you can practice till you're perfect. Our 4-1/4" x 5-3/4" rounded plastic frame holds a 3-1/2" x 5" photo, incriminating or otherwise. Stand it, hang it or stick it on the refrigerator. It has a 1-1/8" x 1-1/2" sheet magnet on the back. Comes in black, white, pink and medium blue. Fauxto Frame

Our jolly good 2-7/8" high x 2-1/4" frame is 1/2" wide brown faux leather, stitched at the edges. The easel-back is easily removed to insert a 2" x 1-1/4" picture. Quite nice. This is one slick motorized solar system and planetarium from Educational Insights®. Make assembling it an educational exercise. Demonstrate how the planets circle the sun. The 4" dia sun is yellow plastic, lit with a krypton bulb. The planets are colored, reasonably proportional given their actual sizes, and marked with their symbols. They ride on black metal arms that disappear in the dark. The helpful instruction manual suggests activities, and includes a heliocentric longitude chart. Use it with the degree markings on the black-plastic base to show the positions of the planets on different dates. Replace the top half of the sun with the clear dome imprinted with labeled Northern-hemisphere constellations, and project them onto the walls and ceiling of your darkened classroom. About 9" high, with Pluto extending 15" from the center, and the other planets hanging out in their respective order. Comes with an AC adapter, but not with the (4) "C" batteries it needs. For grades 3 and up, and not for kids under three years of age. (Do you want to have to tell an E.R. nurse he ate Uranus?)

Box O' Bones

Glow-in-the-dark plastic skeleton, about 1 ft. tall. That is the end result. What you get is a box of bones that you snap together to create the final product. Which is kind of fun. Or of course you can leave some or all of them disassembled to create a sense of havoc. We're not going to claim it is anatomically correct, or educational. But you do need to figure out that feet don't grow from shoulders and thigh bones do not connect to jaw bones. Maybe 5 minutes of fun!! And the finished product is one of our better little Halloween guys.

Birdsticks!
What a wonderful, cartoonish bird! Wave the colorful puppet on its 12" bendable wand, or wind it around your wrist, pen or the strap of your backpack. The bird and the wand are covered in soft velour. So far we've unpacked a purple pelican, blue toucan, hot-pink flamingo, and multicolored parrot. About 15" tall OA. Our choice.

You know the one-big stupid grin, chatters, jumps up and down, pounds really annoying cymbals together and won't stop…an American classic. The originals from the '50s bring $75 or so on Ebay, but you can get your own brand-new, latter-day cymbal-clanging primate in a little red hat for a fraction of that. Approx 7-1/2" tall, runs on (2) "AA" batteries (not included) with a power switch under his monkey bottom.

Half-Ounce Buckets
Half-ounce buckets with no handles. OK, medicine cups. Graduated in 1/2-tsp increments up to (3) tsps (1/2 oz) but would hold (5) tsps if you were careful not to spill. Translucent plastic, 1-1/2" tall and slightly flared to 1-7/16" dia at the top. Helpfully embossed "read label directions" and "wash after using." Would also make nice wastebaskets for contemporary dollhouses, itty-bitty Jell-O® molds, or diet cookie cutters.

Would Make Nice Coasters
Because they ARE coasters. Doesn't happen often here-employing something for its intended use. This simple black round tin (think large Shinola can without a label) has (4) 3-1/2" dia coasters inside-in solid black or white (sorry our choice) with thin aluminum rims and cork bottoms. Tres coquet.

Buckle Down Windsocky
