What is it Wednesday: The Book That Time Forgot (Or Did the Internet?)
We’re still reeling from yesterday’s mind-boggling discovery. Remember that mysterious book from 1974? The one that seemed to have vanished into the digital abyss? Well, buckle up, folks, because this story is about to take a turn.
Turns out, our little book has sparked quite the interest. We've been contacted by the actual publishing company, Rand McNally! Yes, that Rand McNally, the map-making giants. They’re just as baffled as we are about the book’s online disappearance.
Who would have thought a dusty old book could cause such a stir? Apparently, Rand McNally has confirmed that they did indeed publish the book, but have no original copies stashed away. But here's the kicker: they suggested we check out the Newberry Library in Chicago. Apparently, they have a massive collection of their archived books.
So, not only do we have a real-life mystery on our hands, but we also have a potential treasure trove of old books to explore. We’ll keep you updated on our quest to unravel the secrets of this book. And hey, if you find a copy of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy while you’re digging through your attic, give us a call. We’re on a roll!
