Our old buddy Rod was quite the magnet—mostly for trouble and Johnny Law—so we can’t help feeling nostalgic as we grip this 4” x 3/8” alnico rod magnet. Because of their temperature stability and relatively high magnetic strength, alnico magnets are often used in industry for applications involving rotating machinery, meters and instruments—stuff that would have bored Rod out of his head but is important, nonetheless.
