Meet the Baofeng BF-F9 5-Watt Dual-Band Handheld Ham Radio. This handy handset is anything but amateur; with three transmission power settings you can select between "invite-your-neighbors-to-dinner" power (1 watt, approx walkie-talkie power, ~2-3 miles*), "call-your-ham-club-across-town" power (4 watts, ~4-5 miles*), or "try-and-see-what-the-ISS-astronauts-had-for-breakfast" power (5 watts, ~5-6 miles*).
