Rubber-headed spring clamps hold objects (up to appx 1/4" thick) in a firm grip but won't hurt them. A two position thumb latch locks the 3" long U-shaped clamp closed on thicker and thinner stuff. Originally intended for holding objects together while glue cures, they can just as easily be used to hang something loopless, think corrugated signage, pegboard sheets, or halloween displays.
