Coolest science exercise toy ever! A (blue) ball is mounted on an axle inside of a (2-3/4") transparent sphere. Start the inner ball whirling with the included string (getting a great laugh out of the poorly translated instructions along the way). You have launched the gyroscope! By gently rolling your wrist, you will speed the gyro up to almost 8000 RPM and increase its resistance on your motion. Great for building wrist and forearm strength, but forget the box mention of "magnetism". Our compass could barely detect it, but, it is one fine example of a great science toy. Everybody ready to explain gyroscopic behavior?! 

Jarvis says: A little squirt of WD-40 or light oil on the interior axle points greatly improves the performance.
